VPNFar Subscription Import Guide
From account creation to connection testing. Get your subscription in the user panel, then import it for your device.
Client interfaces and menu labels can vary. This guide uses common terms such as “subscription,” “configuration,” and “import from link” to describe what to do. Follow the current instructions in the user panel and your client. If a label differs, look for the equivalent feature rather than an exact button name.
If you already have an account and an active plan, skip to “Get your subscription.” For connection issues, see Frequently Asked Questions.
Create an Account and Save Your Login Details
Select “Start Free” below to open the VPNFar user panel’s account creation page. No email address is required—just a username and password. Follow the prompts, and before submitting, check your input method, capitalization, and any extra spaces. Use a unique password and store it in a trusted password manager.
Once you're done, open the user panel and make sure you're signed in to the account you just created. Manage your account overview, plan, clients, and support tickets in the panel. This page explains the process; it doesn't create a subscription or provide an installer. When you use another device, sign in with the same account rather than creating a separate one.
If the username is already taken, choose another and try again. If you already have an account, use the sign-in option instead of creating another. Save your login details before choosing a plan. For help with account access or credentials, see Account and Subscription Help. Refer to the help page's contents for the relevant section.
Choose a Plan and Check the Order Status
Open the plans section in the user panel and choose between a monthly plan and a data package. Monthly plans suit ongoing use: ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, or ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on the activation date, not on the first day of the calendar month. If you upgrade mid-cycle, the price difference is prorated for the remaining days; check the panel for the actual result.
Data packages are suited to occasional use: ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, or ¥658/3000GB. They last until the data is used and never expire. Check the billing terms and data allowance rather than comparing prices alone. For full pricing details, visit the plans page, then return to the panel to choose an option.
After choosing a plan, review its name, price, and payment method on the order confirmation page. VPNFar accepts Alipay, WeChat Pay, and USDT. Follow the order page to complete payment, then return to the panel and check that the order has updated and the plan is active in your account overview. Returning from the payment page doesn't necessarily mean the plan is active; rely on the status shown in the panel.
If the status hasn't updated yet, refresh the order and account overview. Don't create the same order again while waiting. If you still have questions, keep your order details and contact support through a panel ticket. VPNFar offers a 60-day refund policy; see the refund policy for details. Once your plan is active, continue to the next step to get your subscription.
Open the Account Overview and Get Your Subscription
Stay signed in and open the account overview in the user panel. Check your plan status and remaining data, then find the subscription section. A subscription lets your client retrieve route configurations; import it so the client can load the routes available to your account. Your account password, order number, and subscription URL serve different purposes and aren't interchangeable.
If the panel offers one-click import, make sure the corresponding client is installed on your device, then select the matching option. If your browser asks to open an external app, check that it's the right one before proceeding. Return to the client and confirm the new configuration appears. If the browser doesn't switch to the app, don't keep clicking—copy the subscription from the panel and import it manually in the client.
To import manually, copy the full subscription URL, then open “Import from link” or a similar option in your client and paste it into the URL field. Don't split the address or copy any instructions or extra punctuation. The client needs an internet connection to retrieve the configuration, so make sure your device has a working network connection first.
Your subscription URL is tied to your account; don't share it publicly. When asking for help, hide your subscription details, account credentials, and payment information. This guide doesn't show a real subscription URL.
Getting a client and getting a subscription are separate steps. Except on iOS, you can sign in to get a VPNFar client without purchasing a plan. Get your subscription after signing in, and use it according to the plan status shown in the panel. If the expected subscription option isn't in your overview, first check that you're signed in to the right account, then follow the panel instructions.
Import the Client for Your Platform
Open the client section in the panel, select your device platform, and get the VPNFar client by following the instructions there. This page doesn't provide direct installer links. The steps below cover desktop subscription clients, Android subscription clients, and iOS VPN clients. Use the option provided for your platform in the panel; don't try installers or import formats intended for other platforms.
Windows: Add a Subscription in the Configuration List
After signing in, select Windows in the client section and follow the panel instructions to get and install the VPNFar desktop client. Open it and find the “Configuration” or “Subscription” page. Choose the add option, select import from link, and paste the URL you copied in the previous step. If the client lets you name the configuration, choose a name that's easy to recognize so you don't confuse it with an older one.
Wait for the configuration to load, then check that a new entry appears in the list and select it as the current configuration. Open the route selection section and confirm that route names are displayed. This prepares the configuration; you'll still need to connect from the client's home screen. If another proxy app is running, disconnect it first to avoid multiple apps changing your system's network settings.
macOS: Import the Configuration and Approve System Access
Select macOS in the panel and follow the current installation instructions to get the VPNFar desktop client. Open the configuration manager and paste the URL using the import subscription or add from link option. Once the configuration is saved and loaded, select it and try connecting. Installing the client doesn't mean you're connected; check the connection status separately.
macOS may ask you to approve network access during connection. Make sure the prompt comes from the client you just installed, then follow the system instructions to grant access. If macOS asks you to confirm this in Settings, do so and return to the client to reconnect. Settings can vary by macOS version, so there may not be a fixed screen to follow. If you still can't connect after granting access, save the error message and see Connection and Troubleshooting Help.
Android: Add a Subscription and Allow the VPN Connection
Select Android in the panel and sign in to get the VPNFar client. Install it using the instructions for your device. In the client, open the subscription or configuration section, choose add, and paste the copied subscription URL into the link field. Save it and wait for the configuration to load. Select the configuration and route, then return to the main screen and connect.
Android usually displays a system prompt to allow the VPN connection. Check that the app is correct, then allow it. Even after the system connection indicator appears, return to the client to confirm it's connected. If the connection drops when you switch apps, check the device's background activity and battery settings for the client. Options vary by device; follow the system instructions and leave unrelated permissions unchanged.
iOS: Get the Client Through the Active Plan Option
Select iOS in the panel. The client option is available based on the active plan status shown there. If your plan is active, use the App Store link in the panel to get the VPNFar client. If the panel says your plan doesn't meet the requirement, check that you're signed in to the right account and confirm its plan status. Don't use files for other platforms as an iOS installer.
After installation, return to the account overview and use the matching one-click import option, or add the link manually from the subscription or configuration page in the client. Select the imported configuration and connect. If iOS asks to add a VPN configuration, verify the app and approve the prompt. Return to the client to check its status. For full instructions, see the iPhone Subscription Import Guide.
Other Devices and Checks After Import
VPNFar also supports Linux; see the client section in the panel for instructions. After importing on any platform, check that the right configuration is selected, the route list has loaded, and any outdated configurations have been removed. Menus may differ, but the order is the same: load the subscription, select a configuration, choose a route, and connect. Unlimited devices can be used at the same time, but each device must be set up and authorized separately.
Connect to a Route and Test Access
Select the configuration you just imported, open the route list, and choose a location that meets the target service's requirements. For your first connection, keep the client's default or recommended rule settings instead of changing network options right away. See Locations and Routes for guidance. A working route doesn't guarantee that the target website is available in that location or for your account; check the service's availability requirements.
After connecting, check whether the client shows a connected status or an error. Then open the website you want to use in your browser and confirm that it loads before trying what you need to do, such as signing in or viewing content. A system VPN indicator only shows the system's connection status; test the website itself. Don't rely on cached content on an app's home screen as proof that the connection works.
If you can't access a site, first make sure your regular internet connection is working. Then check, in order, whether the subscription loaded, the right configuration is selected, and the chosen route is connected. If the configuration list is empty, return to the subscription section and check the import. If the route is connected but one website still fails, try another route that meets the service's location requirements. Change one thing at a time and check again so you can track what fixes the issue.
If a website works in your browser but an app still fails, check whether the app needs its own proxy settings and whether the client's current mode includes that app. Don't disable system security settings to troubleshoot, and never paste your subscription URL into an unfamiliar testing site. For detailed help with connection modes, failed updates, or system permissions, see Frequently Asked Questions.
When using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini, distinguish between network access, account permissions, and regional availability. Being able to open a website doesn't mean every account feature is available. For command-line setup, IDE extensions, or API calls, see the Complete Guide to Accessing AI Tools; this page doesn't cover developer environment setup.
If you still need help, open a support ticket in the user panel and include your device platform, the step where the issue occurred, the route name, and any error message. Hide subscription details and account credentials in screenshots, but leave relevant interface details visible.
Once you've verified the connection, keep the configuration that works. To update routes later, use the client's subscription update feature when available. On a new device, sign in to the panel again to get the client and import the subscription; don't assume that a temporary connection status on your old device means the new one is configured.
